Problem
|
Check and remedy
|
|
System is not detecting DTMF
tones
|
·
Make sure the telephone is
set to Tone, not Pulse
·
You may be using an old Key
System that absorbs DTMF. A dial-pad that plays DTMF would be
needed. TelCan can supply you one for very affordable price of
around US$20.
|
|
You are being charged by
your local phone company for the DID signaling calls
|
·
Make sure you let ring only
once when calling your access (DID) number.
|
|
System is not calling back
|
·
Make sure you are present at
the location of the registered callback number.
·
If you have mobile callback
option, the registered callback number can be check using the
Administration Menu.
·
Make sure you hang up the
phone after 10 seconds so that you can answer the incoming call.
|
|
Upon receiving call back a
fax tone is heard instead of the callback regular dial-tone.
|
·
You are receiving callback
on a fax machine that is picking incoming calls before you do.
Please your fax machine to pickup after three rings.
|
|
A recording from the
callback system is heard “I’m sorry, that is an invalid
number…”
|
·
Make sure you dial 011
before the number for calls outside US, Canada and Caribbean.
For calls inside these territories dial 1 before the 10 digit
number.
·
Make sure the inter-digit
delay does not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise the system will
assume you finished dialing and will check the number entered,
if the number is too short you will hear the error message.
|
|
After sending a fax, the
system is not detecting [**] for another call without exiting.
|
·
Make sure you press [**]
before the fax machine hangs up the line. To do this, right
after the last page is through, lift the handset up and press
[**]
|
|
The system is hanging up
before the first digit of the destination number is entered.
|
·
Make sure you enter the
first tone digit before 20 seconds, after this a timeout will
occur and the system will hang up.
